Lazio Innova is the regional agency for innovation. It provides financial support to SMEs (co-financing of investments, financial Instrument & risk capital tools); technical assistance to the Region in the designing and implementation of policies and schemes; promotion and management of internationalization programs. In Lazio Region the specialization area “Cultural Heritage and technologies of culture” – with the inclusion of technologies and related applications – has an established academic tradition, science and business. It is a field of excellence in the region, recognized around the world. To strengthen the competitive position of the sector, in 2008 Lazio Region created the Technology District for Arts and Culture (DTC), as a tool for economic development and territorial cohesion, to enable a structured network of relationships and technical / scientific collaborations between the public and private research and the business system.
